In accordance with the agreed process for the annual review of the Prohibited List, as an International Standard under Article 4.1 of the World Anti-Doping Code, a number of changes to the structure and content of the List are being considered.
The draft 2013 Prohibited List is based on the proposals from the WADA List Committee. We would ask that those with specific experience and professional expertise in anti-doping matters within your organization be given the opportunity to carefully review and provide comments.
WADA is confident that this opportunity to provide formal comments on the proposed changes will ensure that the List evolves in keeping with the highest possible scientific standards and is reflective of the needs of the international sports community.
WADA would appreciate receiving comments on any aspect of the changes being considered. Any issues or concerns related to substances or behaviors that you wish to bring to WADA’s attention are welcomed. In responding to any particular areas of interest or concern, we would request that comments are supported, where possible, by appropriate reference(s) to the medical or other scientific evidence, pharmacological effect, or personal experience surrounding the substances or methods in question.
To facilitate the provision of comments by stakeholders, WADA is pleased to introduce a new online tool - WADAConnect.
WADA request you to please input your comments using this online platform by July 9, 2012.
