New Name for European Archery Body |

Archery - 23 May 2012 - The European and Mediterranean Archery Union (EMAU) has changed its name to World Archery Europe (WAE) with immediate effect.
The change was approved in a vote at the 13th EMAU Congress in Amsterdam.
It follows the decision by FITA, the international archery federation, to change its name to the World Archery Federation, abbreviated to WA.
In other developments in Amsterdam, Vladimir Esheev of Russia was re-elected as vice president of the European governing body while Thierry Zintz of Belgium and Trudy Medwed of Austria were confirmed as members of the Council and Lind Rolf of Denmark joined them as a new member.
