Olympics - 28 May 2012 - deltatre is set to deliver the BBC's online live interactive video player for their London Games coverage, with the ability to choose from up to 24 concurrent live HD streams with live data panels. The data driven content will be derived from deltatre's Olympic Results Platform (ORP) providing viewers with detailed athlete and sport specific information. deltatre is providing full service provisions for the 'Results' section of the BBC's website and the 'Results' and 'Schedule' sections of the mobile site. This includes the Information Architecture and User-experience design, the complete build and hosting of these specific sections. This platform takes the Olympic Data Feed (ODF) integrated with the host broadcasters video session specific data, processes the large, complex data set and renders it for multiplatform use. The ORP will also be used globally by broadcasters in Europe, North America and South America. “Our role to help deliver arguably the most compelling digital coverage of the Games to date comes with both honour and an undeniable degree of pressure. We have a dedicated workforce committed to delivering the highest quality multiplatform broadcast of the Games and to a longer lasting video legacy,” says Jim Irving, Director of Commercial and Video at deltatre media. “deltatre have vast experience working with some of the biggest Games rights holders in North America, South America and Europe, covering over 36 different disciplines, so we really understand the technical complexity behind such a major multisport event.” |
