Perpignan Chief Goze 'Still to Decide' on Bid for LNR Presidency |
|
|
Rugby Union - 07 Nov 2012 - Paul Goze, the president of Perpignan, the top-tier French rugby union club, has said that he has not taken a "definitive decision" on whether he will stand for the presidency of the LNR, the organiser of the sport’s top two divisions in France.
Incumbent LNR president Pierre-Yves Revol has announced that he will not stand for another term, and Goze, tipped by some as a successor, has told AFP that he has not yet committed to the election and will only make a decision after a meeting of the club presidents tomorrow.
However, he admitted that he "could be the consensus choice."
So far, only Patrick Wolff, the LNR’s vice-president since its inception in 1998, has officially declared his candidature for the presidential election.
Revol became LNR president in late 2008, replacing the outgoing Serge Blanco.
