|
Athletics - 22 Jan 2013 - The FFA, the French athletics federation, has renewed a sponsorship deal with Areva, the nuclear power group that is one of its two main partners.
Areva first became one of the FFA’s main sponsors in 2009 in a deal thought to be worth around €450,000 ($600,000) a year, and has now extended its commitment.
Areva is advised on its athletics sponsorship programme by Havas Sports & Entertainment, the sports communication and brand management arm of the French advertising group Havas.
The sponsor will continue to support the athletes in the French team and all national athletics championships.
Asics, the Japan-based sportswear manufacturer, recently became the FFA’s other major sponsor, replacing rival kit manufacturer Adidas in a four-year deal that runs until 2016.
Asics will supply the kit for France’s athletes and the FFA’s members at international competitions.
