IOC Unveils Final Composition of Its 26 Commissions |

Olympics - 28 Feb 2013 - The International Olympic Committee today unveiled the final composition of its 26 commissions, plus its executive board.
The commissions include the evaluation commission for cities bidding to host the 2020 Olympic Games and the co-ordination commissions for the games of 2014, 2016 and 2018, in Sochi, Rio de Janeiro and PyeongChang, respectively, and the Youth Olympic Games of 2014 and 2016 in Nanjing and Lillehammer, respectively.
The IOC said: “The role of the commissions is to guide the IOC and the Organising Committees for the Olympic Games in their missions.”
The chair of the Marketing Commission remains Norway’s Gerhard Heiberg, while Belgium's Jacques Rogge, the IOC president, chairs both the Radio and Television Commission and the TV Rights and New Media Commission.
