Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia has been awarded hosting rights to badminton's 2013 BWF World Superseries Finals in December.
The season-ending tournament was last held in the country in 2009.
The tournament features the top eight individuals or pairs in each category – men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles and mixed doubles – competing for a share of the $500,000 prize pot.
It will be played between December 11 and 15.
Thomas Lund, secretary general of the Badminton World Federation, the sport’s governing body, said: "We anticipate some great finals in Malaysia and we look forward to the best performers on the Superseries circuit giving their best."
There are 12 events on the 2013 BWF World Superseries calendar: five 'Premier' level tournaments in South Korea, England, Indonesia, Denmark and China (Shanghai); and seven 'Superseries' tournaments in Malaysia, India, Singapore, China (Changzhou), Japan, France and Hong Kong.
The Denmark Open is taking place in Odense this week and will be followed by tournaments in France, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
The 2012 BWF World Superseries Finals were held in Shenzhen, China.
