Dongguan in China and Helsingborg in Sweden are set to be awarded hosting rights to badminton's 2015 Sudirman Cup and World Senior Championships, respectively, later this month, after the Badminton World Federation announced that the two cities are unopposed in the bidding.
However, there is competition for the 2015 BWF World Championships, with Kunshan, also in China, up against Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia.
The host cities will be selected during the BWF Council's annual meeting in Athens, Greece on November 28.
Thomas Lund, secretary general of the BWF, said: "While Dongguan and Helsingborg are the lone bidders for the Sudirman Cup and World Seniors respectively, they still have to satisfy the council that they are capable of hosting the tournament to the BWF’s standards and technical specifications.
"We look forward to hearing high-quality presentations from all four bids and to reaching the appropriate decision for each tournament."
The Sudirman Cup, the world mixed team championship, and the World Senior Championships are held every other year, with Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and Ankara in Turkey having been the respective hosts in 2013.
Guangzhou in China staged this year's World Championships and the annual tournament will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2014.
