World Taekwondo, the sport's governing body, has announced that Cancun in Mexico, will host the 2020 Grand Prix Final, while Manchester, in the north-west of England, will stage the 2021 Grand Prix Series and 2023 Grand Prix Final.
The award was made by the World Taekwondo Council at a meeting in Manchester where the 2019 World Taekwondo Championships are being held this week.
Manchester previously staged the Grand Prix Final in the event's inaugural year of 2013.
This will be the first time the World Taekwondo Grand Prix Final will take place in Cancun, but the third time in Mexico, as Querétaro hosted the event in 2014, followed by the capital Mexico City in 2015.
The Grand Prix Series comprises four competitions per year in each discipline and was introduced by World Taekwondo six years ago to provide a system for qualification to the Olympic Games.
