The International Table Tennis Federation has today unveiled Chengdu Airline as title sponsor of this month’s Men’s World Cup in the eponymous Chinese city.
Under the agreement, the airline will receive exclusive in the airline service category for the tournament, which runs from 29 November to 2 December.
The ITTF Men’s World Cup will be played in Chengdu for the first time, and follows last month's Women's World Cup which was held in the capital of Sichuan Province.
Chengdu Airline previously served as an official sponsor of the 2018 ITTF Women’s World Cup.
Kimberly Kho, ITTF head of sponsorship, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Chengdu Airline back on board for one of our most prestigious events of the year. The city of Chengdu is familiar territory for top ITTF events and therefore it is fitting that we partner with a locally headquartered, yet nationwide respected, company in Chengdu Airline.”
Earlier this month, the ITTF signed up Dongfeng Fengshen, the Chinese car manufacturer, as a sponsor of the Men’s World Cup, with exclusivity in the automobile manufacturing category.
Other tournament sponsors include Jiajia Milk Industry, DHS, Donic and Enlio.
