FINA, the governing body for aquatics, has opened the bidding process to attract hosts for its World Championships and World Masters Championships in 2025 and 2027.
Interested member federations and cities must inform FINA by 26 November.
FINA will host a meeting in Lausanne on 25 January, 2019 with the potential interested candidates, before formal bids are submitted by 25 April.
Following site visits to the confirmed bidding cities, FINA aims to select the two host cities on 11 July at its bureau meeting in Gwangju on the eve of the 2019 World Championships in the South Korean city.
Those will be the first of three successive World Championships in Asia, with Fukuoka in Japan and Doha in Qatar staging the 2021 and 2023 editions, respectively.
