Yakult Honsha, the Japanese producer of the Yakult yoghurt drink, has signed a 10-year extension to remain as a sponsor of Fina, swimming’s world governing body.
Yakult will remain an official partner of the FINA World Championships and the FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) until 2028, the two organisations announced today.
Fina first signed up Yakult in 2005, and the current deal was due to expire after this year's short-course championships in Hangzhou, China, which got under way today.
Yakult will be able to exercise exclusive marketing rights in the non-alcoholic beverages and dairy product category at FINA's two signature events.
It will also continue to have a branding presence pool-side (pictured), on the bibs of female athletes and on the swim caps of both the male and female athletes.
