L'Equipe audience hits 1.4m for Riner's judo gold

L’Equipe, the free-to-air digital terrestrial channel, registered a peak audience of 1.4 million on Saturday as French judoka Teddy Riner won his 10th world title.

The channel averaged 930,000 viewers for its coverage of the Open World Championships in Morocco between 6pm (CET) and 7.30pm.

L’Equipe was the most-watched digital terrestrial channel during the final between Riner and Belgium’s Toma Nikiforov.
