Nenad Lalovic elected to IOC Executive Board

The IOC Session, currently gathering in PyeongChang ahead of the 2018 Olympic Winter Games, today elected Nenad Lalovic, President of United World Wrestling (UWW), as the ASOIF representative to the IOC Executive Board (EB) for a four-year term of office.

This election follows CK Wu’s resignation as AIBA President, ASOIF Council member and IOC EB member in November 2017. Last month ASOIF members selected Nenad Lalovic as their nomination for this position, which was subject to confirmation by the IOC membership today.

"The Executive Board has tremendous responsibility to assist the Olympic movement," said Lalovic. “I'm humbled to be a member of the board and contribute to its many missions and goals. I take pride in this position as representing all Summer Sports on the EB and will be a strong advocate for all of them.”

ASOIF President Francesco Ricci Bitti and ASOIF Executive Director Andrew Ryan are currently in PyeongChang and attending the IOC Session.
