Workwear firm Blåkläder added to World Handball Championships sponsors

Blåkläder, the workwear retailer, has been added as a sponsor of handball’s 2019 IHF Men’s World Championships, which will be co-hosted by Germany and Denmark.

Maik Friedrichs, Managing Director of Blåkläder’s German arm, said: “We want to be where our end customers are and we’re convinced that the IHF Men’s World Championships is a great opportunity to do so.”

Blåkläder joins Liqui Moly, the Germany-based automotive lubricant brand, and Lidl, the German supermarket chain, as an ‘Official Sponsor’ of the tournament, the tier beneath the IHF sponsors.

The Sweden-based company is already a fourth-tier sponsor of Rhein-Neckar Löwen, the Handball Bundesliga team from Mannheim.

Blåkläder, Liqui Moly and Lidl are joined by five national suppliers in Denmark (Royal Arena, Jyske Bank Boxen, Phonix Tag, Bygma and Sport Event Denmark) and five in Germany (DKB, Hella, Mitsubishi Motors, Pixum and Promat).

The 2019 World Championships will take place from 10 to 27 January.
