As part of the report of the ASOIF's Council and approval of the 2007 Accounts and 2008 Budget, a summary on the ongoing issues on the Olympic Games Revenues was given by ASOIF’s President. A motion was voted to continue to press for a review of the current distribution formula for the Olympic revenues including that applied to the USOC share.
On the Olympic Programme it was decided unanimously that ASOIF supports the inclusion of two additional sports on the programme for the Games of 2016. The Assembly decided to show no preference for any particular sport in respect of the agreed selection process but requested a clear and transparent process for all seven candidate sports leading to the selection of the two additional sports for the 2016 Olympic Games.
A report from WADA on their activities and the Code Compliance was given, together with reports from BOCOG, LOCOG and the IOC Sport and Games Department, including an update on the Youth Olympic Games by Singapore.
ASOIF was presented with a commemorative banner for its 25 Years Anniversary by FIFA’s Vice President Issa Hayatou, on behalf of FIFA President Sepp Blatter, and ASOIF President, Denis Oswald, was given a commemorative trophy to mark ASOIF’s 25 years by IOC President Rogge during the ASOIF joint meeting with the IOC Executive Board the following day.
