Fina, the international governing body for aquatic sports, has today announced an enhanced deal with Arena, the global swimwear brand, to support its major competitions and supply kit and equipment from 2014 until 2019.
The deal includes sponsorship of the Fina World Championships and FINA World Masters Championships in Kazan, Russia in 2015, in Guadalajara, Mexico in 2017 and in Gwangju, South Korea in 2019.
Arena will also have a presence at the Fina World Swimming Championships (25m) in Doha, Qatar in 2014, in Windsor, Canada in 2016 and in a city to be decided in 2018 and the Fina World Junior Swimming Championships in Singapore in 2015, in Budapest, Hungary in 2017 and in a city to be decided in 2019.
In addition, the company will be the exclusive supplier of swimwear, sportswear, swimming equipment and training aids for all officers, staff and volunteers involved in these events.
Arena has in recent years been the title sponsor of the annual Fina Swimming World Cup series, but the federation has also previously had a partnership with rival Speedo.
