The ASOIF Medical and Science Commission (AMSC)

The AMSC was created in 2005. 
 

The primary role of the AMSC is to look at practical and operational issues of common interest for all the IFs in the areas of medical and anti-doping activity, including all athletes’ health related matters. The AMSC can also be called upon to give its opinion about the work of WADA as well as content of the WADA Board Meetings. The group usually meets twice a year.
 

The AMSC is chaired by Dr Margo Mountjoy, who is a sports medicine physician and a member of the International Golf Federation (IGF) Medical Committee, of the Games Working Group of the IOC’s Medical Commission, as well as a deputy member of the WADA Foundation Board.

Members of the group are:
