SEOUL, Korea (Oct 16, 2026) – World Taekwondo President Dr. Chungwon Choue and Secretary General Jeongkang Seo met with International School Sport Federation (ISF) President Željko Tanasković and Secretary General Hasnae El Ayoubi in Seoul to discuss strengthening cooperation and expanding opportunities for young people to engage with Taekwondo through school sport.

The discussions focused on Taekwondo’s role in international school sport and ways to broaden participation among students. The representatives also explored opportunities to introduce additional competition formats, including Virtual Taekwondo and Para Taekwondo.

Taekwondo is already part of ISF’s sporting programme. The meeting considered how closer collaboration could build on that foundation and create further opportunities for student athletes to experience the sport through competition and international exchange.

World Taekwondo and ISF will continue to explore areas of cooperation that support youth development and extend Taekwondo’s reach in schools around the world.
