The ASOIF’s in-person Women Leadership Workshop 2025, which is taking place from 25 to 27 October, just kicked off today in Lausanne, Switzerland, and bring together more than 40 women engaged in Summer and Winter Olympic sports.
The Workshop is a high-impact leadership accelerator designed to equip emerging women leaders - particularly Olympians, newly elected board members, and federation staff - with the confidence, political intelligence, emotional resilience, and strategic tools required to thrive in elected and decision-making roles in international sport. Led by leadership trainers from EqualCareers, the three-day workshop will coincide deliberately with the International Federation (IF) Forum 2025.
Supported by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), this initiative builds on the success of five online leadership webinars for women, organised by ASOIF in the past few years.
Sabrina Ibáñez, Chair of the ASOIF Diversity and Gender Equality Consultative Group (ADGEG) and Secretary General of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI), highlighted:
Real change begins when we invest in people. This workshop, dedicated to empowering women in sport, is a catalyst for transformation; inspiring confidence, resilience, and leadership. I am truly grateful to ASOIF and the IOC for their unwavering support in helping us shape a more impactful and inclusive future for sport.
After the workshop, the participants will receive useful tools to assist them in their journey. They will also continue to support each other through monthly peer huddles.
