The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) and the All Women's Sports Network (AWSN) today announced a multi-year partnership that will bring unprecedented, live coverage of the WBSC Women's Softball World Cup 2026/2027 and the WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup 2026/2027 to global audiences, beginning on Tuesday, 16 June from Prague, Czech Republic.

The partnership comes at a particularly significant moment for women's softball, as the WBSC Women's Softball World Cup 2026/2027 will serve as the first qualification event for the softball competition at the 2028 Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

A total of 18 teams that have entered the WBSC Women’s World Softball Cup 2026/2027 are divided into three different groups of six teams, with each group competing amongst each other in round robin format in the initial tournament stage that takes place in three different cities - Prague, Czech Republic; Lima, Peru; and Oklahoma City, USA – between June and September.

The six best performing teams across the three groups plus two Wild Cards will battle it out in the WBSC Women’s World Softball Cup Finals 2027 in Redcliffe, Australia, taking place from 5-11 April, 2027.
